Wharton Center for Performing Arts is about connecting people to engaging, creative opportunities that expand their hearts, minds, and world view. With that mission in mind, our online art classes at Wharton Center, provide unique, valuable experiences to keep art at the center of your day.
Taught by Wharton staff and teaching artists, these online art classes are available from February 1- March 8, 2021. With a one-time $35 registration fee, you will have the opportunity to learn from and create alongside professionals, from your own home.
Participants will need access to a video device (a laptop, tablet, or phone) and internet service.

Early Childhood Music Classes
Ages birth to five on Wednesdays, 7-8pm
Birth—age six weekly 30-minute music enrichment classes on Tuesdays, or Thursdays from 11-11:30am
Provided via closed zoom room (password protected). Taught from a music learning theory perspective, children and their caregivers will have fun as they learn to sing songs and chants in various tonalities and meters. Learn more & sign up here.
Acting for Teens
Grades 8-12 on Tuesdays, 4-5pm
While performing for a live audience isn’t possible right now, it’s no time to stop creating! Join instructor Aral Gribble as he leads participants through an exciting course on acting for the camera, while participants create their very own “Zoom” play! Learn more & sign up here.
Introduction to Theatre
Grades 3-5 on Mondays, 4-5 pm
Middle School Musical Theatre Performance
Grades 5-8 on Tuesdays, 4-5 pm
Students in grades 5-8 will participate in a completely virtual musical theatre program, rehearsing and performing “The Show Must Go Online!” – a charming virtual children’s musical written specifically for Zoom. Learn more & sign up here.
