We have a new Wharton Center event that you will not want to miss! Join Wharton Center and Michigan native and Emmy Award-winning actor, director, singer/songwriter Jeff Daniels on Friday, August 28, at 8pm, for an intimate VIRTUAL concert experience. Tickets are on sale now, for $15 and only one ticket per household needed!
Jeff Daniels Story
In 1976, Jeff Daniels bought a Guild D-40 from Herb David’s Guitar Studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan, threw it in the back of his old Buick, and moved to New York City. That guitar led to a creative outlet, became a solace, a road into the artist that he didn’t know existed. A true Michigander and Chelsea native, in 1991 Jeff Daniels founded The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea as a creative home for theatre artists to define their collective Midwestern voice. Now, over 40 years later, he’s still writing songs, singing them, and playing.
This virtual live show will be full of original songs and personal stories from his stage and movie career that only he can tell—and plenty of smiles.
Following the performance, stick around for a 15-30 minute audience Q & A with Jeff Daniels. The audience will have the opportunity to submit questions for review and possibly a reply! Make sure to prepare any questions you may have before this event.
